With Congressional leaders and the American public firmly in support of Israel President Obama is finding it necessary to redirect his course in dealing with Israel’s noncompliant government. Mr. Obama has made no secret of his disdain for Prime Minister Netanyahu and for the continued construction in any part of Israel —by Jews. Obama recently came out of his anti-semitic closet with the most virulent treatment of any foreign dignitary in recent Presidential history. Mr. Obama holds and displays greater respect for world despots like Iran’s insane president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad or Venezuela’s repressive communist leader Hugo Chávez. It is obvious to even the most simple observer that the American President has an inordinate contempt for the Israeli Prime Minister and perhaps the Jewish Nation in general. Because Congressional leaders are applying pressure on the Obama Administration for having publicly humiliated the Prime Minister of Israel the President is re-tooling his machinery and ratcheting down the rhetoric in public,for now.

No matter what side of the fence you stand on concerning the Arab-Israeli conflict and Israel’s struggle to hold onto defensible borders,it is obvious that Mr. Obama is firmly standing on the side of the pLO. Let’s recall that the very significant and symbolic first phone call as a new president Obama elacted to call Abu Mazen (aka Mahmoud Abbas),the leader of the “palestine”Liberation Organization’s quasi-governmental arm and chief terrorist. This was Obama’s first shot across the bow of the Israeli government as he came into power. The President’s treatment of Israel’s government has only worsened since that first day in office.
Recently,more than three-quarters of the House of Representatives sent the President a letter asking him to reduce the public tension between himself and PM Netanyahu. Even Harry Reid,the Senate Majority Leader and devout Democrat,has sent a personal note asking Obama to stop fighting with Israel in public,opting to have the Administration perform its Israel bashing in private,out of sight of the cameras and reporters. A majority of Americans are pro-Israel and Congress has typically reflected this reality. With the upheaval surrounding the Health Care Reform Bill President Obama has shown his flagrant disregard for public sentiment and demonstrated his ability to force Congressional leaders into uncomfortable voting positions. Even with such an overwhelming majority of Representatives and Senators,many Democrats,opposing his policies it is not likely that Obama will halt his relentless attacks on PM Netanyahu. Though he may,on the surface,seem to be taking a calmer approach in his dealings with Israel you can bet he is steadily working with the former intensity behind the scenes to do as much damage to the Netanyahu government as possible.
With his sails full of the wind of success from passing the Health Care Reform Bill,feeling like he could do anything he wanted to,Obama took a running leap at demolishing our nation’s relationship with Israel,Obama figured he could force Netanyahu into capitulating to the demands of the Supreme American Leader. Obama’s shameful mistreatment of the Israeli Prime Minister,first shunning him and then agreeing to meet him at the White House without the standard protocol for visiting heads of state,even leaving Netanyahu and his advisors alone while Obama went off to eat dinner,has bolstered the Prime Minister’s position back home in Israel. Bibi Netanyahu has found that even the leftists in his government are supporting him,though they have their differences,they all abhor the insulting abuse the American President has been pouring out. Netanyahu proved to be a more worthy opponent in this political wrestling match than Obama had guessed he would be.
Now that the President’s overweening pride seems to have run into a hard case of Israeli reality Mr. Obama is pulling back and retooling his approach to breaking Netanyahu’s resolve. The President is realizing that he must work to justify his next move with Israel. With mid-term elections coming soon in the U.S. Obama is quickly loosing his power base over his hardhandedness with Israel,even his most loyal of Democratic leaders are aligning on the other side of the fence. What the Administration seems to be formulating is a broad approach at convincing the public,both in America and Israel,that Israel is the obstacle to world peace. Not something new,but a new approach for Obama.
In his speech at the closing of the recent Nuclear Security Summit Obama made an astounding declaration,the first of its kind from any sitting U.S. President. Referring to the Arab-Israeli conflict Mr. Obama framed the issue as “a vital national security interest of the United States.”Using the term “vital”takes the importance to an all new level and makes this issue one of our Nation’s top priorities. Words do matter,declaring something to be a vital national security interest carries an enormous amount of weight bringing to bear a full range of diplomatic,even military,resources. To further drive home his point that Middle East peace is important to America Mr. Obama stated that conflicts like this end up “costing us significantly in terms of both blood and treasure.”Serious statements coming from the leader of the World’s Superpower determined to prove that he will not allow the recalcitrant Israeli Prime Minister to refuse his demands.
The premiss that Israel is costing the United States “blood and treasure”is outlandish. In fact,Israel is the only obstacle to a pan-Arab takeover of the fertile crescent region preventing another Islamic Caliphate from forming in the region. Israel’s presence in the region has done much to prevent the Islamic Revolution from solidifying its strategic power base. The Israeli intelligence arm,Mossad,because Israel is a true ally,has provided the U.S. with invaluable information preventing untold catastrophes,saving American lives and incalculable American treasure. Such a disparity between reality and the comments of the President reveals his willingness to lie and distort the facts,all in an attempt to justify his government’s maltreatment of the Israeli Prime Minister.
Bill Clinton,in a recent interview with John Tapper on ABC’s “This Week,”practically blamed Israel for all the violence around the globe. This propaganda has been a standard playing card for Islamic revolutionaries when trying to justify terrorism and other acts of their jihad-driven war,where ever they may occur. The typical rhetoric from these jihadists is to blame Israel,no matter how far removed the conflict is from the Middle East. When Al-Queda attacked and destroyed the World Trade Center towers and the Pentagon Osama Bin Ladin declared it was because the U.S. supported Israel in its “occupation”of “palestine.”Bill Clinton is now repeating the Islamist mantra of blaming Israel for all the violence perpetrated in the name of jihad. Clinton went so far as to blame Israel for hogging up the news budget in the Middle East,saying that the Saudis have had great advancements that went unnoticed because of Israel’s conflict with the so-called “palestinians.”According to Mr. Clinton Syria would no longer conspire with Iran and Hezbollah if there was a “palestinian”state. What utterly unabashed bunk. This disinformation is being implemented by American leaders,past and present,in collusion with the Islamic Revolution’s campaign to dismantle the Jewish Nation,little bit by little bit,eventually pushing them out of existence. Key motivators for this behavior by complicit American leaders would be (1) they are heavily invested in Arab interests (2) religious and cultural ties to Islam,either run deeper than loyalty to our Constitution or commitments to America’s allies.
Let’s stop and take a reality break. What did the “palestinian”issue have to do with the war against Israel in 1948,when all of Israel’s neighbors attacked in an effort to annihilate the Jewish presence from the Middle East? The fact is,Israel’s Arab-Muslim neighbors believe that since that land was once controlled by the Islamic Ottoman Empire it must remain under Islamic control forever. Not that the Ottomans ever did anything with the area Israel claims as its ancestral homeland,they never established any borders or capitol city of anything called “palestine.”There was nothing more than a loose civil administration of the neglected region,it remained predominantly uninhabited because it was barren and arid;the soil that did have water was largely salinated to the point that it would not support agriculture. There simply was no Muslim claim or any desire to claim the land as “palestine”and there was no national people known as “palestinians.”The myth that Israel is occupying another nation’s territory is baseless and a complete fabrication. Regardless of the facts,we can expect to see a campaign painting Israel out as the cause of world-wide instability. We will begin to hear stories emanating from the White House and other past and present political leaders telling us that if Israel would just allow an Arab state to be birthed on the Jewish Biblical heartland the whole world would some how suddenly be at peace. Islamic jhadists around the globe will suddenly turn into nice law abiding people,becoming productive members of society. The Obama Administration will resort to the tactics of Yasser Arafat:if you tell a lie often enough you will find someone gullible enough to believe it. Since Israel will become the basis for all conflicts in the world the American “vital national security interests”will be invoked and the Jewish Nation will be forced into submission by the great leader,Obama.
Already,the United Nations has begun,in concert with the Obama Administration and Arab leaders in the Middle East,painting Israel as the cause for Iran’s determination to have nuclear weapons. Setting aside Iran’s age old quest for dominance in the region the UN is blaming their sense of need for nuclear capability on their fear that Israel is thought to have nuclear weapons. As the story goes,the Iranians simply want to balance the nuclear playing field in the region. 
Drawing parallels between Israel and Iran is difficult to do on any basis,more-so when quantifying threat levels from one nation or the other. Israel is thought to have nuclear weapons,but has never denied or confirmed the notion. If Israel were to possess nuclear weaponry,what would any civil nation have to fear? Regardless,the United States and the Arab-Islamic nations are pressuring Israel to sign on to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) hoping to force the Jewish Nation to give up any nuclear weapons. To do so,the Islamic nations and the Obama Administration are asserting that Israel is the whole cause for Iran seeking nuclear weapons and that Israel is,therefore,the cause of instability in the region. Again,the disparity between fact and fiction is tremendous,revealing an alternative agenda on the part of the United States Administration and the Islamic Nations.
As Solomon said,“There is nothing new under the sun.”This wave of misinformation directed at breaking down Israel’s standing on the world stage is just more of the old smoke and mirror gimmicks being regurgitated by the newest political puppets on the set.
Because Christians represent the base for support of the Jewish Nation they will be the primary target of the propaganda campaign to reeducate the masses as to the purported dangers of the Jewish presence in the Middle East. Pastors will be pressured to comply with the teaching of a “palestinian”nationality for the newest Arab state. We must be out in front of this wave of misinformation coming to our congregations. As shepherds of their flocks Pastors must begin to educate on the 
basis of reality,openly refuting falsehoods and demanding honesty in our discussions concerning the Arab-Israeli conflict. Pastors must confront,from the pulpit,the Islamic Revolution and its goal of world religio-political domination,beginning with the Land of Israel. Preferring to preach complacency and unbridled tolerance based on pseudo-religiosity will eventually cost of the lives of the flocks under their charge and leave Israel without a friend in the world. Our congregations must be firmed up on the history and contemporary realities concerning Israel and Her claim to Her Biblical Inheritance. If we do not give fellow Christians a foundation of truth they will be susceptible to the lies of the Islamic Revolution designed to destroy Israel.
