Planes Bombed, Shootings, Constitution Shredded – All While We Sleep
This past ten days have been quite eventful, I doubt if most families even realize what has taken place. While Santa has been stealing everyone’s attention the forces of darkness have been very active. This is a good time to remind all Bible Believers to remain vigilant and not allow themselves to be caught off guard. The time in which we live is no time to be wrapped up in desultory activity, we must not let our guard down for one moment.
With an American president in office (with Congress in his pocket) that desires to shred the United States Constitution, and is working hard and fast to do so, those who cherish freedom have no time to lounge. With Israel being forced into allowing Islamic-terrorists to overrun their towns we cannot cease our work for even one day. With Islamic-terrorists seeking to destroy our way of life we cannot afford to be found falling asleep at the wheel. With world leaders seeking to dissect the tiny State of Israel this is no time to hold back from doing our utmost to support the efforts of Jews to live in their homeland unmolested. With so much at stake we must remain sober, guarding our walk and witness.
Thursday, December 17, President Obama issued an executive order (EO) amending President Ronald Reagan’s 1983 EO 12425, one of those little things that requires no debating or voting in Congress and receives little attention from the media. Mr. Obama’s EO affords diplomatic immunity to INTERPOL, allowing the international police organization unprecedentedimmunity from the constitutional restraint our own law enforcement are bound by. In effect, INTERPOL can do just about anything they want on US soil and even their records are immune to investigation. I do not have space to go into all the ramifications of Obama’s EO, suffice it to say that this is a purposeful move to break down the constitutional fabric of American society and Americans should be inundating the White House phone lines, email, postal mailbox and demonstrating en masse in front of the presidential palace in outrage over this. Wake up Church!
President Obama has been pressuring Israel to make unilateral concessions that serve to weaken the Jewish Nation’s security. One such move was to remove many of the security checkpoints throughout Judea and Samaria. When Israel built the security fence, separating the Arab population centers from Israeli cities, many security checkpoints were set up to complete the barrier against terrorists. The fence and checkpoints have proven to be very effective in stemming the number of Islamic jihadists attacking Israelis. For the past two years there has been a relative calm and Jews have been allowed to live in security — for the most part. President Obama insisted that the checkpoints be removed as a “good faith” gesture to the pLO.

This past Thursday, December 24, in Shavei Shomron, Israel, Rabbi Meir Avshalom Chai, 45, father of seven, was gunned down in a drive by shooting while he was driving home with his wife and one child. The homocide wing of al Aqsa Martyr Brigades, part of Abu Mazen’s (Mahmoud Abbas) Fatah political/terror group quickly claimed responsibility for the attack. Just days before Abu Mazen had declared that there was not going to be another intifada, a similar tactic used by his mentor, Yasser Arafat — say one thing and do another. Israel has insisted that the checkpoints were required to maintain safety and security for Jewish citizens. Barack Obama wanted the checkpoints gone.
The blood of Rabbi Meir Avshalom Chai and the hardship his widow and fatherless children will live with are the direct responsibility of the United States President. Since the barriers were removed Israel’s security forces have had their hands full chasing and stopping terrorists from perpetrating attacks. Thankfully, most attacks have been thwarted, this one was not. Though the pLO leadership may, and always have, played on the world stage the song and dance of wanting peace, they continue to wage their war of attrition on behalf of all of Islam against the Jewish Nation. Unfortunately, we can only look forward to more such attacks in the coming weeks and months, unless there is real change in the White House pressure tactics. Wake up Church!
Friday, December 25, there was an attempted in-flight bombing of a Delta/Northwest Airlines flight from Amsterdam to Detroit. The accused assailant, Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab, is known to our security forces as being a “radical” Muslim. Mr. Mutallab’s own father had notified authorities some time ago warning that his son had become more fundamental in his Muslim faith and was becoming a danger. Similar to the recent accused shooter who killed thirteen Americans, Nidal Malik Hasan, Mutallab was not being tracked adequately by our Homeland Security forces. Like Hasan, Mutallab was educated, an engineer, and had ample opportunity set before him for a prosperous future. Because as a nation we refuse to recognize Islam as a clear and present danger and act to halt the Islamic revolution we nearly lost another air liner full of people. Wake up Church!
Last week Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Iran and Iraq made steps to form a unified bloc of Islamic nations. The Egyptian president, Hosni Mubarak, being ill, left his sick bed to make an emergency trip to Saudia Arabia. There is something big about to burst forth in the Arab/Persian world and it will not be good for Israel or the United States. While President Obama has been busy bowing to Islamic leaders and apologizing to the Muslim world for the policies of the United States Iran has been speeding toward developing nuclear warheads. Appeasement is not an effective method of dealing with those who seek your destruction, Israel and the failed Oslo Accords are a perfect example — if you need one. While we continue to wag our finger at Iran threatening, vainly, that we are going to impose some sort of sanctions against the Persian empire they are working diligently to build their bombs, laughing and mocking us all along the way. Wake up Church!
As stated previously, this has been a busy ten days. The actions listed above are only a few taking place to weaken Israel’s security and drag the United States further down the path of Divine Judgement. As Christians we should be outraged, as followers of the G-d of the Bible — supposedly following Biblical Precepts — we should be leaping out of our armchairs incensed with Righteous indignation because of the unholy path our nation is racing down. Instead, I see a church filled with members that are assimilated and looking to humanistic endeavors for “purpose” to fill their empty lives — as if G-d has not already provided ample Purpose that would take several lifetimes to fulfill. These days Christians seem to be more caught up in watching “Lost” than helping to save the lost. Sports games are the highlight of the week for most men in the Body of Christ. Lesbian talk-show hosts get more attention than the Pastor’s sermons.
Many churches have slipped into the mode of providing psychological motivational speeches, lessons on how to feel better about yourself just as you are and how to “give seed money” and get rich by donating to the ministry of your choice. Men in the Church have become soft, hardly able or unwilling to defend their families against enemies temporal or spiritual. To abdicate our position of spiritual authority in the Kingdom of G-d — for any reason — is treason. Brothers and Sisters in the Church, we need to do some serious soul searching, then we must return to our posts in the Army of G-d. As soldiers we are remiss, at best, as to our service to our Commander in Chief, The L-rd of Hosts. The Church is being made ineffectual because She has soiled Her witness before the world and before each other. Worldly pursuits have filled our days, pagan rituals and habits occupy our time. It is time to throw off all that besets us, seek the True and Living G-d and work to fulfill His Purpose for our lives. Only in surrendering our lives as a living sacrifice to the Holy One of Israel will we be able to regain the luster and excitement of walking in Divine Anointing. Wake up Church!
While we Christians are groping around, searching for the first-love we have lost, G-d is moving ahead with His plan of Redemption. The people of Israel, scattered across this vast planet for two thousand years, are now being regathered, the desert in G-d’s Land is now blossoming, just as we were told to expect in this time. The nations are assembling against Jerusalem, seeking to dismember and divide the City of Gold. Evil men are devising their schemes against the Throne of G-d, plotting to, if they could, destroy the Jewish entity. Unless the Church finds Her bearings and rises up to limit the impending destruction many will perish and blood will flow on the streets of Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Washington, D.C., Paris and London. The suffering can be contained, indeed, it is time to wake up Church!
