Abu Mazen (Mahmoud Abbas) Threatens to Quit
It would benefit us to reflect on the background of Abu Mazen, AKA Mahmoud Abbas, before getting excited about his threat to step down as the head of the “p”LO wing known as the “palestinian” Authority. Abu Mazen, the name most preferred before the death of his mentor Yasser Arafat, was well known for orchestrating terror strikes and bankrolling the perpetrators to carry out their homicidal acts. Upon the death of Arafat Abu Mazen, a man with a well known terrorist history was in need of sanitization before stepping into the stage lights as the newly “ellected” head of the “palestinian” Authority. Enter Mahmoud Abbas, the man with no history, no record of involvement in the atrocities carried out by the “p”LO for so many years.

Abu Mazen and Yasser Arafat - the teacher and his student.
Abu Mazen learned well from his pedagogue ,Yasser Arafat, who was a master at brinkmanship aptly shifting and transforming on the world stage from arch terrorist to honored statesman. Arafat often threatened to quit his position as “Israel’s only peace partner” time and time again. Whenever things were not going his way in negotiations, because he was asking for the ridiculous, Arafat would not show up for a meeting and declare to the media that he was quitting – again. Of course, the whole world would stand on their heads to appease the leader-made-for-television. Israel would be pressured by the Nations to cave into the quitter’s demands, as if it would have genuinely been any better if he remained. The truth be known, the Arab League needed Arafat more than anyone else, he was a perfect puppet for their agenda to wipe out the Jewish Nation by political means because they could not do so militarily.

Abu Mazen, AKA Mahmoud Abbas, has threatened to quit his role as head of the "p"LO wing known as the "palestinian" Authority.
So, now we have the student imitating his teacher. Abu Mazen, being at a stalemate with Bibi Netanyahu over the issue of construction in the homesteads throughout Judea and Samaria, the Biblical Jewish Heartland, is playing the trump card passed down to him from Arafat. Along with the threat to quit as the presumably “moderate” leader of the “p”LO there was also the threat to cancel the Oslo Accords, errantly referred to as the “Middle East peace process”. Unfortunately, we can not depend on Abu Mazen to fulfill his threats do do either.
If Abu was to step down, resign and leave the process, we would all be better off. Cancelation of the Oslo Accords is exactly what Israel needs. The Jewish Nation would then be free to make moves to humanely address the issues related to those Arabs desiring to live in genuine peace with Israel and put a stop to those who are bent on destroying anything and everything Jewish in the Middle East. The Oslo Accords have only served to concoct a cloud of confusion in the discussions on how to create a meaningful means of meeting the needs of the Arabs living in Israel while making safe and defensible borders for Israel. The concept of manufacturing a “palestinian” homeland, a man-made state within a State, has been the greatest stumbling block to neighbor living at peace with neighbor. If the Oslo Accords were set aside and the “palestinian” Authority abolished the Arab world would then be correctly pressured by the world governments to absorb the so-called “refugees” that have been held against their will, forced by the Arab League to live in the squalid conditions of the “refugee” camps.
Abu Mazen is merely attempting to use brinkmanship diplomacy as he was taught by Yasser Arafat, so, don’t look for his resignation letter any time soon.
To further stir the Middle Eastern peace pot chief Arab negotiator Saeb Erekat (another of Arafat’s henchman) is making threats to declare statehood without Israel’s participation. Again, right out of the old Arafat play book. In August of 2000 and again in November of 2001, Arafat threatened to do the same – and got nowhere. Sunday night at the Saban Forum in Jerusalem

Prime Minister Netanyahu has warned the "p"A not to declare statehood.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said “There is no substitute for negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority and any unilateral attempts outside that framework will unravel the existing agreements between us and could entail unilateral steps by Israel.” If Abu Mazen or Saeb Erekat have any sense they will sit down and be quiet before they make themselves look any more foolish. If history is a guide, the two former terrorists-turned-statesmen may well follow Arafat in his steps and call for another intifada (uprising), causing the loss of many more Jewish as well as Arab lives in the process. If they do, my hope is that Israel makes the move to end the peace farce and begin making unilateral moves to squelch the uprising and bring a final and lasting peace to the region.
President Obama can be thanked for creating the latest catastrophe in the negotiations between Israel and the Arab-”palestinians”. Obama made a demand on Israel that no sitting president has made before and that has never been made a precondition for negotiations before, the complete halt to construction in the homesteads. To add misery to the imposed agony in the talks President Obama has pounded his demands before the General Assembly of the United Nations and stated that the United States (or at least the Obama Administration) refuses to accept the “legitimacy of continued Israeli settlements.” Mr. Obama has aligned himself with the Arab League, not the United States Citizenry. The United States Congress has passed one resolution after another supporting Israel’s right to defend Herself and to perpetuate and expand growth in the Biblical Jewish Heartland of Judea and Samaria. What the American president has done is create a situation whereby the Arabs are using his demand to halt all construction in Judea and Samaria as a precondition to further “peace talks”. Fortunately, Bibi Netanyahu has stood firmer than expected so far, refusing to halt growth in Jerusalem and has made remarks supporting natural growth in the homesteads. Thanks to Obama we now have the Arabs threatening to blow the entire Oslo process to pieces.
As followers of the G-d of Truth we must discern rightly the events of the day, judging between the good and moral and the evil and amoral. We are not called to a faith that is a spectator event, our calling is to be engaged, fully involved as we walk out our faith with fear and trembling, showing our faith by our good deeds. We are not called to follow the light of our televisions, the mainstream media and countless prideful speeches from world powers pursuing their own petty agendas, working to force Israel to capitulate to Arab-Muslim aggression. We are called to follow the light of Torah and Truth. If we do not hold to truth and seek reality in every area of our lives we become clouded and confused, our walk becomes ineffectual to those around us. The blind cannot lead the blind or they will both fall into a pit, we must educate ourselves of the facts and realities concerning the Middle East. We live in a day in time where end time prophecies are being fulfilled before us, the Jews are being regathered into the Land of Israel and all the words spoken by the prophets about this age are coming to pass. This is no time to be found asleep at the wheel, we must discern the times and proclaim to the world around us that G-d is a covenant keeping G-d and He will complete that which He has begun.
For any Church Body or Christian to be found neutral on the issues concerning the remnant of Jacob and the Arab-Muslim aggression against the very act of Jewish return to the hills of Judea and Samaria is to be found lukewarm; allow me to remind you of what the Holy Scriptures say concerning that: “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.” (Revelation 3:15-17) Let us not be found lacking in that which is available right before us, truth and reality.
As the writer of Proverbs exhorted us to do: “get wisdom and get understanding”, “though it cost you all you have”, invest of yourself, your time and effort to gain an understanding of what is going on in Israel today. The Jewish Nation is fighting an old foe, an old spirit, the same one that has risen up from generation to generation, trying to snuff out the descendants of Jacob, the seed of Abraham. The G-d of the Hebrews has said that after regathering them back to His Land He would not uproot them again. We who call upon His name should do all within our power to align with this mandate. Builders of Zion has prepared several reports spanning the past two decades providing ample information enabling you to combat the lies concocted by Satan himself designed to push Israel out of the very Land G-d Swore they would dwell in and live with peace. From the “palestinian” “refugee” myth to the whole Islamic revolution sweeping the earth causing the nations to be faint, cowering before Islam’s demands to help shove the Jews into the Medeteranian, to “drink from the Gaza Sea” as Arafat loved to say, Builders of Zion has sifted through the misinformation and propaganda to provide you with concise and easy to read documentation.
Use the Builders of Zion resources to educate yourself and others, study and show yourself knowledgeable. Gather support from your community to help Israel during this time of trouble, put pressure on your law makers and political leaders to treat Israel the way G-d Himself would do, to aid the Jewish return to The Land and encourage growth and prosperity in the Hills of Judea and Samaria. Become a partner with Builders of Zion today, help us to accomplish the goals that G-d has given for us to do.
